The Marsden Cove Fishing Club is committed to the safety of all competitors in this tournament and this means that consideration to weather and natural events will be undertaken seriously.

The competition committee will only cancel or alter the event, due to extreme weather conditions or a natural event, under direction from the NRC Harbourmasters office or possibly on advice from Coastguard Whangarei.

In the first instance of extreme weather or natural event, a defined competition area maybe put in place to allow the event to take place under safer condition.

This is based on a worst-case scenario and the above will only take place in an unlikely event of extreme circumstances.
