The purpose of this tournament is to make sure you have a good time, an equal chance to win some great prizes and promote the Marina, Marsden Cove Fishing Club and Metalcraft Roofing Products.

For this reason we have a set of rules. Please read them carefully and make sure you understand them. If there are any doubts or matters that need clarification please note and ask at the briefing.

Any matters not specifically covered by these rules will be covered by NZSFC & IGFA rules, or by discretion of the tournament committee.

Please be aware, if you have not purchased a ticket then you will not be eligible for any prizes. If your name is called out but you do not have your ticket available at the time, sorry no prize.

No liability is accepted by Marsden Cove nor any of the event sponsors for damage to any boat, vehicle or property or personal injury of any nature. It is the Skippers and Anglers responsibility to take all steps to ensure no harm comes to any person.

BRIEFING: 6.30pm Wednesday 13th March

At least one team representative from each team should be present.

STAY AWAY

Stay away from Marsden Cove base is optional however all fish are to be weighed at Marsden Cove.

If you have landed fish intended to be weighed, you must send a photograph of the landed fish with angler ticket.

BAD WEATHER

In the event of bad weather the Tournament Committee reserves the right to delay the start or cancel fishing for the day.

A gale storm warning in force will automatically cancel fishing for the duration of the warning.

TACKLE

FISH MUST ONLY BE PLAYED BY THE PERSON WHO FIRST TOUCHES THE ROD.

ALL TACKLE MUST BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH NZSFC & IGFA RULES.

THIS IS AN OPEN CLASS LINE WEIGHT TOURNAMENT. LINE CLASSES ARE 1,2,3,4,6,8,10,15,24,37,60KG

ROUND UP

MCFC WILL COMMENCE A ROUND UP CALL ON CH18 AT 10 AM AND 1 PM EACH DAY

IT IS THE SKIPPERS RESPONSIBILITY TO STAY IN CONTACT DAILY. Failure to do so may mean disqualification for safety reasons. State grid location.

WEIGH-IN

IN THE EVENT OF A TIE, PRIZE WILL GO TO TEAM WITH MOST ENTRIES OF SAID CATEGORY.

TAGGED FISH MUST HAVE PHOTO EVIDENCE SHOWING TAG.

ANY ANGLER WEIGHING IN A GAME FISH, OR CLAIMING A TAG AND RELEASE MUST PRESENT ROD REEL AND LURE AND ANY OTHER EQUIPMENT USED (IF REQUESTED) AT THE TIME OF WEIGHING, TO THE WEIGH MASTER

IN THE EVENT OF NON COMPLIANCE TO NZSFC RULES, THE ENTRY WILL BE DEEMED AS DISSQUALIFIED. THE WEIGHMASTERS DECISION IS FINAL.

FISHING TIMES

ALL ENTRIES MUST BE AT OR HAVE BEEN THROUGH THE WEIGH STATION BY 4PM 16th March 2019 (THIS INCLUDES TAG AND RELEASE CLAIMS)

HOOK UPS MUST BE CALLED IN TO THE MARSDEN COVE FISHING CLUB CH 18 BEFORE *STOP FISHING TIME*

ANY FISH CALLED AFTER STOP FISHING TIME WILL BE DISSQUALIFIED.

ANY FISH STILL BEING PLAYED AFTER STOP FISHING TIME (THAT HAS BEEN CALLED IN PRIOR TO STOP FISHING TIME, MUST BE AT THE WEIGH STATION BY 5PM (NO EXCEPTIONS)

IN THE EVENT OF AN ANGLER WISHING TO WEIGH A FISH AND CAN NOT PRESENT THEIR PERSONAL ANGLERS TICKET THEY WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.

ANGLERS MUST CALL IN TO THE FISHING CLUB WHEN THEY LEAVE TO GO OUT (CH18) AND ON RETURN – SAME APPLIES TO COASTGUARD CH05

DINNER WILL BE SERVED 7PM FOR THOSE WHO HAVE PURCHASED TICKETS ONLY

PLEASE LOOK OUT FOR YOUR FELLOW COMPETITORS. SKIPPERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING ALL CATCH’S ARE LEGAL AND FOR THE SAFETY OF THEIR CREW, ON AND OFF THE BOAT.

WHERE NO FISH ARE LANDED, MEASURED OR TAGGED

**In the event of no fish being tagged or weighed per a category, the prizes will be reallocated at the descretion of the organisers. All prizes will be given away.***
